Monterey County
is in the Central Coast area of California. We are about
100 miles south of San Francisco; 60 miles south of San Jose; and
about 350 miles north of Los Angeles.

Salinas
is located eight miles inland from Monterey Bay, 325 miles north of
Los Angeles and 101 miles south of San Francisco, at the head of the
Salinas Valley. It is bisected by Highway 101 and linked to the
Monterey Peninsula by Highway 68.

an average temperature is 68.2 degrees with any morning fog generally
cleared by afternoon breezes. The summer climate of Salinas is
characterized by average afternoon temperatures in the 70s, dipping at
night into the 50s. Daytime winter temperatures are generally in the
60s, dropping at night to the middle 30s.
